How is government compassionate? Congress Kills Little Tobacco

Link: How is government compassionate? Congress Kills Little Tobacco

This interview was a bummer to do. A local roll your own tobacco store fired 40 people this week because of Congress. Congress and the President have put 10,000 jobs across the nation at risk because Big Tobacco asked them to. This chain of 4 local stores fired 40 people on Monday. There was no smooth transition as there would be in the free market. The swiftness of this regulation means these 40 people will probably have to use government assistance of some kind. Before, they were producing goods and paying taxes. – http://podcast.lpin.org/2012/07/13/we-are-libertarians-017-get-your-smokes-while-you-still-can/
